(JULY 2005) FYENS DISTRIBUTION has decided to implement Transvision Route Planner for planning and optimising of their news paper routes.   Fyens Distribution is one of the largest distribution companies on the isle of Fyn which is situated in the middle of Denmark. From their terminal in Odense, they distribute news papers, commercials, and magazines to more than 100,000 customers.   In the first phase of implementation, Transvision Route Planner will be used for optimising of routes for large drops to kiosks, gas stations, retail stores, etc. plus for the delivery spots to the household delivery men.   In the second phase, the system will be used for optimising the routes for the approximately 750 household delivery men.   Fyens Distribution chose Transvision Route Planner after a period of testing and benchmarking against other planning solutions.
