(JULY 2005) GRUPO UNILAND HAS CHOSEN Transvision Fleet Planner as their new real-time based distribution planning solution.
Uniland is a major concrete and cement company in Catalonia, Spain. Uniland is operating a large amount of production facilities covering production of concrete, cement, mortar, and aggregates.
In the first project phase, Transvision Fleet Planner will be implemented for planning and execution of the concrete distribution. At later stages, the solution will be rolled out for planning of other parts of Uniland’s distribution activities.
Transvision Fleet Planner will be closely integrated with JDEdwards, Siebel and the on truck computers making the system an integral part of the IT workflow. This means that the incremental planning, at all times, will be based on the latest status information on orders and trucks making the system a truly real-time based system.
Transvision was chosen because of Transvision’s many years of experience within the concrete business and their proven track record as a solution provider for the concrete and cement industry. Moreover, Transvision Fleet Planner has the ability to operate as a real-time based dispatch tool for concrete and cement distribution.
