(APR. 2005) THE MAJOR SWEDISH corn and fodder company Svenska Lantmännen has decided to implement Transvision Fleet Planner as their new operational distribution planning tool.   Transvision won the order after having performed a simulation test showing the ability to handle Lantmännen’s complex planning situation with multiple terminals and multiple compartments on the trucks. On top of this, the simulation also proved the planning algorithms ability to make the distribution more efficient.   In the first phase, Transvision Fleet Planner will be used for planning of the fodder distribution, and in a later phase it will be rolled out for planning of the transportation.   In the present first phase, Transvision Fleet Planner will undergo a modification for handling of the planning on multiple compartments plus upgrading the map facilities e.g. selection of groups of orders in the map with instant key number summarising.   Lantmännen has entered into a company license making it possible to use all Transvision’s planning tools.
