(APR. 2006) SECURITAS’ DANSIKRING VÆRDI has implemented Transvision Route Planner to optimise their distribution and collection routes of money to and from stores, terminals, and banks in Denmark.
Dansikring Værdi is a part of the global service company Securitas. The company is experiencing a fast growth with a continuous inflow of new customers that need to be added to the master routes. This growth makes it increasingly difficult to optimise the master routes for the money transportation.
Via Transvision Route Planner new master routes are made on a quarterly or a half year period at the time. The plans consist of master routes for every day in the week. Moreover a whole set of master routes are made for peak periods and holidays to account for the fluctuating business activity at these times.
The system is implemented at the terminals in the different regions in Denmark and here the planners import the customer data of the next period. Based on the customers’ position, their time windows, money maximum constraints, etc. the system thereafter performs an overall automatic planning, which results in optimised master plans including detailed tour lists.
