(MAR. 2007) OK HAS PURCHASED
Transvision Oil Planner in an effort to optimise and plan the distribution of fuel products while meeting the regulative requirements.

OK is one of Denmark’s largest oil and gasoline retail companies. In Denmark, OK has 600 gasoline and diesel outlets and thousands of private oil, bio fuel and gas customers. The distribution is handled by 110 trucks operated from three different distribution centres.

When operating in the oil and gasoline industry and planning the distribution of fuel products there are many factors to take into consideration. Among others are simultaneous route and loading optimisation, collection of real-time deliveries and status messages, insertion of urgent orders into the distribution plan during execution, and the ability to calculate product substitution versus time spent on driving.

For several years, Transvision Oil Planner has been used for planning of oil and gasoline distribution; hence, it has become very rich on oil industry specific functionality. Due to this industry tailoring Transvision Oil Planner met the absolute majority of OK’s requirements.

The implementation of Transvision Oil Planner is done in two phases. In phase one, the system is implemented on the oil distribution, and in phase two, on the retail gasoline and diesel distribution.

The system will be integrated to OK’s internally developed ERP system OK-systemet that will supply Transvision Oil Planner with orders. After planning, Transvision Oil Planner submits the route lists and loading plans to the trucks’ on-board-computer, and during execution the system will receive and consequence calculate delivery data for re-planning and POD. After execution, the historical data is exported to the OK-system for statistics and invoicing.
