(SEP 2009) GRUNDON WASTE MANAGEMENT LTD. has chosen Transvision Waste Planner for the planning of their commercial waste collection routes.
Grundon is the largest privately owned waste management group in the UK. The company is well respected nationally for its professionalism and is acknowledged to be in the vanguard of waste management practice and innovation.
Following a selection process including several UK suppliers of route planning software, Grundon Waste Management has selected Transvision Waste Planner for the optimisation of their fleet of 70 vehicles. The fleet is used for the collection of commercial waste from business premises across south east England. They will deploy Transvision Waste Planner using a phased approach for the optimisation of master routes, with ongoing maintenance of the routes via automatic ad hoc insertions of new customers.
As an innovative organisation, Grundon is always looking at ways to improve their operational efficiency as well as the service offered to their customers. The introduction of a planning system is the ideal way to improve the utilisation of the resources, without the need for a significant amount of costly resources to manage the planning process.
